Screen Shot 2015-03-17 at 02.29.19 Yes, I know I’m mixing up hashtags for brands but this is a great example of making something as cold as tech feel for human and personal. Though I guess majority of Cortana enabled devices are still Nokia branded. Anyway…Screen Shot 2015-03-17 at 02.29.28

Some redditors have shared Cortana’s responses to either being sick or feeling sad. The responses are sweet and really empathic.Screen Shot 2015-03-17 at 02.29.49

In contrast, Siri seems to go down the robotic/pragmatic/literal route. Having an integration of both might be helpful (though it would be nice if somehow Cortana had a built in triage system. It’s very easy to automate. It doesn’t take over a healthcare professional but it does help point someone to the right type of medical help with the correct level of urgency).

LensCrafters appears to be makers of eye-glasses/spectacles, not really a medical doctor.

The worst response was from Google Now on my Note 4 which was basically a search result, including something unrelated.

It doesn’t give you the expected response that either Cortana or Siri gave.

It’s in this instance that I welcome getting Cortana on all platforms.
