For the past 13 years, Gordon from Perth has been using his Nokia 3315. The battery lasts him 3 days (used to last over a week!) and it has outlasted 4 different SIM cards (remember those old fat ones) over a GSM 2G network.

Gordon posted on Facebook that he was upset that the network, Telstra, was shutting down their 2G services. But what about Gordon’s Nokia 3315 that was still going strong? He says his Nokia 3315 is indestructible.

After hearing Gordon’s woe’s, Telstra’s CEO invited him to Melbourne so he could make his last call over 2G and officially shut down their 2G network.

Sounds like Gordon should be one of the first HMD/Nokia reach out to for a new Nokia Android smartphone promo 🙂
