Bloomberg reports that BlackBerry has filed a lawsuit against Nokia for infringing their patents. They are said to be demanding royalties for Nokia’s “mobile network products that use an industrywide technology standard.”

BlackBerry says that Nokia are aware of these patents, some of which Nokia tried and failed to buy through missed acquisition of Nortel.  That was bought by a consortium consisting of Blackberry, Apple and Microsoft.
