Thank you to Barney and Co (looking after social media) for organising a brief meet with HMD’s Juho Sarvikas.

We met this morning and he kindly said he had been following us for a couple of years 🙂 (I guess I’ve been following Nokia now for about 18-19 years :p)

Here are some of the questions you guys asked (see video below).

We also asked about phones with large battery capacities (e.g. 5000mAh) as a new trend as you never have to worry about battery life. Juho responded that he didn’t want to take the route of turning a phone into a ‘powerbank’ as there may be some trade offs internally for that. Juho wants to use the software optimisations to get that all day battery life rather than simply increasing battery capacity.

I guess there may be some complex things I’m not aware of. I wanted to chat to him about some other devices in the market that had this feature but didn’t get a chance too as Juho was whisked away on his very busy schedule (many thanks for seeing Alex and I, Alex was going to be asking questions but she preferred not to be on camera).

Juho was kind enough to be willing to answer any kind of questions. He gave us his card so we might ask him the rest of the questions by email and if he finds the time, we’ll share the response.

Thank you guys for your questions.

Hear what the man behind all our new products Juho Sarvikas has to say about our new releases. Jay Montano from My Nokia Blog asked some of your burning questions.
