This one as a few of the others has the N9/Lumia style design but this one reminding me of the N8 too (perhaps the black ends on the blue edges?). This design is by Tristan who wanted to have a bit of fun speculating on what the tablet might look like. Check it out with those Nokia Purity in-earphones. The scattered coffee beans are a nice touch .

The camera isn’t in the middle but in the top left corner (so not impeded I guess when held in landscape with two hands). I’m not sure if those buttons are hardware or appear with the Windows 8 swipe. There’s even a nice picture below where its set in natural surroundings.

About “My Dream Nokia”

I’m sure you’ve dreamt up your PERFECT Nokia device/UI. What it would look like, what it would feel like, what features it would have. Why don’t you share it with the world? Or at least with other Nokia fans .

It could be your own photoshopped or rendered work (seriously, you don’t need mega skills in either, basic paint job is often enough to convey a concept) of your dream product.

SEND this in similarly to tips@mynokiablog.com with the title “My Dream Nokia” and perhaps the model number (and a little description, maybe a few specs in the message area? Though this bit not necessary).

Who knows, maybe an image might flutter over to Nokia and through whatever route end up being real.

This MyDreamNokia isn’t a completely new design (though it’s not the first where we’ve just seen one shell edited to have a different UI). That’s OK when the design is as stunning as the 800/N9.

Here as you can see we have the Lumia 800 (real, on the right) with the Lumia 810 concept. This was sent in by Aibek.

The screen has moved down. At the top right you can see a front facing camera. They’ve changed the speaker design for calls, but I prefer the old style.

16GB,32GB memory

front facing camera

3.7 AMOLED display, Gorilla Glass

12 mega pixel camera

1080p video recording, 30 fps

dimensions of 61.2mm wide by 116.5mm deep by 12.1mm

1.6 GHz processor

Bluetooth

dual LED flash

4G LTE

HTML5 WiFi

Dual LED flash

1600 mAh battery

NFC

WP Tango

All of these specs are realistic, bordering really on what should have appeared in October 2011, no? Well, at least most of it will appear on the N910 or whatever :p.

We got sent this a few days ago but I missed it due to the mountain of revision I was under (I missed a lot of the emailed tips, soz guys).

My Dream Nokia #40 is by reader, FireDragon. It’s quite a classy design, no? And quite amazing since it’s from the C2-06 range though now with a centre button only. Just goes to show the effort in design put in to even the cheaper series.

It sports Symbian Belle (first MDN in a while with Symbian) and a QWERTY portrait slide out keyboard.

Here’s what FireDragon said:

What all I want is:

a full gorgeous screen to enjoy my movies or games

to display images or photos to clients or friends

to do a manageable productive internet browsing

a camera that I could at least scan a business card with readable contents

a beautiful well-designed device

and above of all to type very very fast as accurate as I could type.

And I want that handset to slip into my pocket and it disappears, not to mention an economical handset if possible.

With trusted portrait qwerty keyboard layout (although I wanted to have cursor keys in the keyboard too, hence optical trackpad has been added) under the large screen (compare to Asha 303 or E72/E6-type) user can enjoy both side of modern mobility.

What is wrong with landscape slider? I found them annoying and disturbing especially during meetings or during traveling when one cannot use both hands to type (ie standing in bus or train) or simply holding a bag in a hand while you have to type in a message or email. Point to be note that I am not saying that landscape slider are a total waste, I like them but on-screen landscapes are almost as good as physical with the price of extra but manageable typos.

Currently I have no option other than having two different devices, which I cannot always keep with me while I am out so my on-the-go productivity rate is not as good as it should be, or how it used to be only a couple of years ago using Sony Ericsson P1i.

My concept is based on above criteria, staying in reality and without breaking any records in specs. This should be a practical device for serious freelancer or showbiz business type users.

Even with apparently having Nokia Donna OS on the device they’ve still left the Windows button. Lol. That doesn’t make it any less nice looking though.
Nokia are known to be coming up with their Windows 8 tablet this year. This isn’t their first tablet of course, but the first one geared for masses of consumers.

We looked before at a concept which was pretty much a stretched N9 for #36 MDN. http://mynokiablog.com/2011/12/03/my-dream-nokia-37-nokia-lumiatab-windows-8-nokia-lumia-tablet/

Tweeted by trossavel and camb078 this is the work on http://yronimus.deviantart.com/gallery/ credited as Jonas Daehnert.

It’s pretty hard for me not to like it. I’m not a fan of bezels at all, but Nokia scored with the N9 design. The bezels here are thicker than the first tablet we saw. You’ll note the design at the back keeps the same iconic N9/Lumia 800 metal strip. No flash it seems.

There’s some other stunning phone concepts too. A twist on the Lumia

Another tablet here though not as striking as the N9 tablet like things above.

http://yronimus.deviantart.com/art/Windows-8-ARM-Tablet-258095786?q=gallery%3Ayronimus%2F1830114&qo=5

Should Nokia’s tablet resemble the fantastic N9/Lumia 800 or should they opt for something completely new?

Jay: Hey guys, Jozef is here again with his concepts for Windows Phone 8. He’s done quite a bit of work, sticking within the Metro frames but spicing things up a lot. I think they’re looking great and I hope Nokia and MS are watching out for this guy. It’s great watching his work evolve.

Hi folks, If you read my stuff, you should know that I am a Windows Phone fan. I published many user interface concepts for this platform; most of them were about the custumization such us Aero Integration, Color Wheel, Group Tites, etc. This time, I would like to show you something different. Let’s Start with Internet Explorer.

Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer for Windows Phone is one of the best mobile browsers on the market; everything wors perfectly and smoothly. But is there any way to improve the user experience? I believe so! My goal was was to create more natural user experience while you’re surfing web.

Pivot view for tabs, favorites and recent history

Today, it needs 2 taps to get to the browser tabs, favorites, or history. My solution doesn’t require any. You just simply swipe down from the top of your screen to launch the pivot view showing all opened tabs, favorite websites and the recent history. Extended Menu at the bottom would now show only 4 items. No tabs, favorites, and recent in this menu anymore.

Fast switching between the tabs

Sometimes you just need to switch to another tab really quickly. There’s a east way to do it. I was inspired by Windows 8 Multitasking. So, to switch to another tab just zoom-out and swipe from the edge of the screen. Can it be simpler?

Microsoft Outlook

Mail experience on Windows Phone is fantastic, but when you have more email accounts there’s no way to manage them easily. Microsoft Outlook Concept would fix it.

Panorama View for all your accounts

As you can see, Microsoft Outlook is a panorama application showing you all your email accounts on the one place. It makes it really simple to manage them. Slide to the left to see replies, flagged emails, email from contacts, etc. from your all accounts. Each email account uses a different color; it makes it easy to recognize to which account email belongs.

Microsoft Outlook is not a replacement for current email solution. It’s just a supplement that would make emailing more comfortable, it’s a “gate” to your inbox. User would still have an option to pin each inbox to the home screen. But when user has many email accounts, having one Tile for all of them would be a great option to save some start screen space.

Groups

I showed you a way to create a group on WP in my last concept. But let’s push grouping of items to the next level.

My concept is about grouping items into a hub- a hub that can communicate with the applications withinn it.

I have created 2 mock-ups to explain you this idea.

Grouping of Web Sites

As you can see, the hub doesn’t show only the Tiles of Websites. It also shows a brief view of the websites’ content. I this case, you can see recent and popular posts. Basically, this would work as a RSS reader.

Grouping of Applications

This mock-up shows the group of the similar applications (shopping). Slide to the left to see “hot deals” and the featured products from all the applications within the group.

Groups would also use “Color Separation”.

Live Tile for a Group

SOS Assistant

I got this idea after reading an article about future of emergency calls. U.S. Government t is trying to bring the 911 emergency service “into the 21st century” by looking into allowing text, photo and video reports from mobile phones.

My concept is pushing emergency services to the next level- the level where one application lets you to do following things:

1. Call/Text/Video call 911
2. View Emergency Map. This map would show nearby emergency points, position of friends/family, and the position of an emergency vehicle.
3. Search for First Aid. Application would have an image/video guide for most common emergency situation
4. Alert friends/family. Alert Service would send a message to selected contacts.

Emergency Call Screen/ First Aid Guide

Zune Hub

There’s one thing about Zune Hub that really bothers me sometimes- artist image on the background. I know many people like this, but I would welcome having an option to get rid of them. Following mock-ups show how Zune may look like without them.

Custom Accent Colors

I showed you in the color wheel in my last concept. This is just an update showing the color picker instead of a wheel. I think solution is more user-friendly.

That’s it for now. Let me know what you thing about these concepts, leave a comment, or send me a private email. You can also follow me on Twitter to stay always up-to-date.
