Not worth a blog post, but could be something to follow:

Nokia would be excellent strategic fit to Lenovo. They would have wider availability of screen sizes, would power up their relation to MS, could use Nokia's brand in tablet space and could sell NSN and mapping parts. They are strong in the business segment, where Nokia currently has the best potential.

Did you discover with this new Maps release that if you hit the green button twice the first press centers you to where you are and the second press turns the map compass on and rotates the map to orient to the way you are facing?? :-)

That would take too much time...Waiting for MS first...and then everyone in the world is expecting Nokia to release a similar 808 device on WP SOON as in this year...

And what do you mean about "great phone?" It would be subjective if you said...1080p/quad core/3GB's of ram/5.5" screen etc as that would not make much of a difference as the OS is already smooth enough to handle much less hardware? -Nor would I care about the huge screen. Or how bout the gimmicky software such as eyeball tracking/hover touch Samsung has on their new products? Is that considered a great enough product?

Or does great phone mean that it simply sells well?

Which is why your reasoning is subjective...

I own one as well here in the States, but I am plagued with constants resets whenever my phone switches to 2G from 3G (which for some reason I rarely get here in the 7th largest city in the US).

Belle cannot be used as my daily driver...I'm sorry, there are just too many drawbacks for me and I would rather use any other OS than it...even if it was Windows Phone.

It doesn't matter if people are not thinking this through.

Today more and more people look at the specs. Screen size, number of cores and resolution are very important numbers for those people. They just pick the phone with better numbers and that's it. It doesn't matter if WP need quad core or not.

That's why WP will be losing sales if it doesn't have quad core. That's also one reason for Symbian's demise. Nokia's Symbian software was really not capable of using multiple cores.

....and another one of those reasons why I will never own an Apple product (in lieu of the Apple tax evasion)...I've seen my share of unethical companies in the Information Technology world, but Apple takes the cake here.

I thought it would've been hard to find evidence to write a 20+ graduate research paper on the ethical decisions Apple has made over the last 10+ years. Oh boy, was I wrong.

Nokia probably lacks the ability to inject into windows phone the software needed to operate the dsp. They could branch windows phone out since they apparently have the right to do so but it would be very costly to develop and maintain a separate branch in the long run. Cheaper alternative is to wait for microsoft to develop and provide the apis needed for dsp integration - but of course windows phone has so many issues that microsoft may be prioritizing other developments rather than a complex Nokia exclusive feature. Cheapest alternative would be to capitalize on the 808 and just release an improved version since all the hard work has already been done and tested - but of course Nokia is not in for their own success but for microsoft's.
