There’s some more information over at WMPU (via GSMA).

Whilst the EOS wasn’t there on launch with Catwalk, it adds further strength to it having a 41mp sensor.

Will the EOS have stereo audio rich recording? Shame about lack of white LED for video/flashlight.

Another past reminder – the EOS is supposed to be better than the 808.

Andy Hagon, a friend of mine who writes for Nokia Innovation (previously writing for Everything N9), got his hands on an 808 PureView a little while ago, and has been alternating between it and his N9 for a while. He has written up a nice post, explaining what he likes, what he doesn’t, what works well, etc. Andy is no camera aficionado, he just likes to aim and shoot, and then admire great shots later. It’s possibly the best feature of the 808PV, it can essentially turn anyone, into a decent photographer (I won’t say good, because I used one in Delhi and got a terrible image :p ).

Anyway, enough of my rambling, you can read up on his post below.

http://www.nokiainnovation.com/808-pureview-picture-perfection/

He has more photos on his Flickr page, that I suggest you take a look at

Nokia Australia mailed me earlier this week to inform me of some local succes. A fellow Aussie, Jason van Genderen, used his (or maybe just a) Nokia Lumia 920, to create his Sundance winning video, “Red Earth Hip Hop”.

Van Genderen’s film explores how hip hop, a music culture seeded in the Bronx, has reached indigenous communities in regional/remote Australia and is helping indigenous youth reconnect with language, elders and story time through this new form of music.

“Filming on a smartphone is such an unobtrusive way to capture a story. People find they open up a lot more in a documentary sense, talking to a device that they are used to seeing everyday as opposed to a big film crew and everyone starting to clam up and being more guarded with their story,” said Jason.

“The technology in the Nokia Lumia 920 is stunning, such incredibly sharp pictures from such a tiny lens. It really was remarkable to see the picture on the cinema screen. For most audiences, they’d have no idea it came from a smartphone.”

Jason was one of two filmmakers selected after a global search by Sundance London for filmmakers to pitch a 60 second trailer on a local underground music story.

If you’re interested in seeing the winning film, take a look below:

The Competition" href="http://mynokiablog.com/2013/05/16/photo-comparison-lumia-925-vs-the-competition/">One and everything else). It’s also nice to see what’s inside the device (which is what counts); the picture above is a side by side of the camera module (sensor + Lens + everything else) of the following:

From left to right: Lumia 925, Lumia 920, Lumia 800, N97

It’s amazing to see how small these things have gotten compared to the N97, and let’s not forgot the fact that the Lumia 925 manages to keep the same size module as the Lumia 920 even-though it has one more lens packed inside (6 lenses in the 925 vs. 5 in the 920).

Pretty awesome, what do you guys think?

One of the apps that now allows you to upload pictures to Instagram is Itsdagram.

It works pretty much as expected. Get a picture, add a filter, post to instagram (As well as checking out activity and other users). No need for an official app.

I’ve been testing it out today and it works super quick. You might want to use a combination of other apps for other filters, or just upload unedited (I find unedited ones look the best for now).

My account is @JayMontanoZ on Instagram if you want to check and follow haha. Do share your account so we can check out your pics

In related news, WPC have also reported on more details on the merger of the Metrogram and Instagraph app.

Cheers jude for the tip

GSM Arena reports that there might be colourful Nokia Lumia 925 on the way as indicated by a picture from Nokia’s future talent facebook page.

Is that a colourful Nokia Lumia 925 or just one of the optional charging covers? I’m not sure what picture GSMArena is referring to or if the one above is just an image for their post.

http://blog.gsmarena.com/nokia-lumia-925-might-soon-be-available-in-different-color-combinations/

On the upside, the cover is so thin that people might be confusing it for the actual phone itself.

Cheers Alvester for the tip!
