Quick heads up on this comparison between the Nokia Lumia 1520 and HTC One Max.

I did find it strange that whilst mentioning HTC things like the IR blaster and finger print reader, there was no mention of the 1520’s sunlight readability or sensitive screen – things that you use on a day to day basis. Also there seems to be a thing where higher pixel density means more detail. Erm, understandable but when both are of the same resolution it doesn’t really matter. It’s not like one is pentile and you really are seeing less. Plus the bigger the display is, with the same super high res, the more you can see without having to zoom in.

Why do people mention pixel density on devices of identical screen resolutions and almost identical screen sizes like it matters? Thanks Apple and the ‘retina’ talk. They do note that in their eyes, they can’t tell the difference, and well, duh.

The 1520 is $100 on contract, vs $300 for the HTC One Max. The 1520 packs beefier internals, S800 Quadcore 2.2GHz Adreno 330, 20MP OIS vs the HTC One Max with S600, Adreno 320, 4MP, no OIS.
