Just trying to catch up on some posts folks. Sorry about the disappearance. Currently several thousand feet in the sky on my way to Dubai then Manchester. This is a promo of Skype for Business. In Microsoft’s vision of the future, Skype is everywhere. Can skype remain a big player amongst the growing number of […]
I guess this is something I hadn’t encountered before since I had always been using phones with a minimum of 16gb storage. My aunt is now using the Lumia 530 which I set up for her some weeks ago. But she’s unable to complete the requested update because there isn’t enough space on the phone. […]
Thomas tweeted that videos should play way better on VLC for WindowsPhone in their recent update. They’re aware that the UI is not yet final.
Couple of updates for OneDrive and Z-launcher on my Note 4. It was also requesting for an update for HERE maps but it doesn’t download anything upon clicking. OneDrive supposedly has some visual changes. Next Lockscreen also seems to have a minor update.
It has been quite a while since I last published any of my ramblings here, but as time goes by you see certain things that spark an interest to share some of my thoughts with you. So, what will I be serving you today? It would be something like, Microsoft is going down the right […]
There was originally a joke about a Nokia 1100 with Android Lollipop. Recently there were rumours that such a thing might actually exist. Here’s a visualisation of what that device might be like, capitalising on the Nokia brand on phones.
Mattias Burling shows us how to take advantage of the exposure control and do some light painting on your Lumia. You get 4 seconds to play with (hopefully a bit more in future Lumias for more options) Yves Das is recommended for taking this to the next level. Check out the LED stick which can […]
Stacey Brierly (ly cut off by the YouTube logo), Global Head of Brand and Corporate Marketing, talks on Nokia’s youtube channel about what is #maketechhuman. Looking back at Nokia’s 150th year, they really have been driving innovation that helps humans (connecting them). Hear what Stacey Brierley, our Global Head of Brand and Corporate Marketing, has […]
My sister likes hand drawing out personalised cards. She sent this one over Whatsapp as I’m still in the Philippines. It’s a Nokia Lumia 920 birthday card, in yellow, including Lumia tiles! She uses a 920 too and takes pictures for her own blog (previously to 920, was the 710). I thought it was pretty […]
Nokia Enters Multi-Million Dollar Agreement with Wired Magazine to Remind You Nokia’s Still Alive and Kicking
Nokia is trying to remind the world that there’s more to the company than making phones; in their latest attempt to do so, Nokia has entered a year long multi-million dollar agreement with Wired magazine. The deal revolves around Wired adding a new editorial style article into their magazine revolving around the usage of technology in […]
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is a very interesting phone in terms of design. Following the Note 4 edge, this one has a double left and right curved screen. I actually quite like it – one of the nicer Samsung designs of late. Mr Sam J Pullen has a quick demo that seems to give the Nokia Lumia […]
Thanks to our friends over at Mixradio, we got a chance to play around with Microsoft’s HD-10 Screen Sharing device for Lumia phones (and tablets!). The HD-10 is a small circular hub, with a detachable NFC plate up top (used to keep on your desk, bedside etc. to quickly share your screen without having to […]
There’s been a lot of drama surrounding Nokia’s Chennai plant. The last we heard though were some positive insights from Nokia CEO that things would get moving once again. TimesofIndia reports that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi suggests the Nokia Chennai factory will begin functioning again soon – in fact the quote is “in the coming […]
Nokia’s Chairman, Risto Siilasmaa recently spoke to Finnish business newspaper, Kauppalehti regarding Nokia. I’ve only got the translated version so there may be a few things missed. Nokia paid a heavy price. The gist seems to be that the past falls of Nokia are learning points never to be repeated again. Back in 2012 some […]
