Video: Nokia X/XL Camera UI demo #Android
Here’s a sort of silent playthrough of the Nokia X/XL Camera UI. For an entry level smartphone,it manages quite  few features of which some of the built in functions you won’t even find yet on Nokia Camera, such as the colour filters, saturation, contrast and sharpness.
The menu UI will take some getting used to after being accustomed to Nokia Pro Cam/Nokia Camera layout. There are some quick buttons on the side for exposure, white balance and flash. There’s a gallery icon, camera shutter and switch for video/front facing/stills and then a zoom bar.
Camera is average. I think an 89USD (sale price of 520) might still beat it but that’s not a fair comparison as we’d need to look at the images on the same screen. There’s an odd mode in video whereby by default, it appears to have been set to some power saving function. This renders the video to something akin to ‘shot-on-potato’ at least where frame rate is concerned. Back to normal mode it’s much better.
It’s definitely not the Nokia camera quality with Android combo folks were expecting, but then this isn’t the Android route that people were expecting.
