As rumored earlier this week, Microsoft have carried out round two of the announced job cuts, this time letting 2,100 employees go. This si the second large scale layoff by Microsoft since the Nokia acquisition was completed, the first occurred in July and saw nearly 13,000 former Nokia employees lose their jobs.

Combined nearly 15,000 jobs have been cut, of the promised 18,000 over the next year; all in an attempt to make Microsoft a more “lean” and efficient company. Let’s see what how that works.
