Spotify FINALLY Updated for WP8; Still requires Premium

The day has finally come! Spotify has released an update for WP8, bringing it closer to par with iOS and Android. Spotify Radio has finally been introduced to Windows Phone 8 devices, alongside a new redesign. It looks pretty good if you ask me. Radio is a bit like MixRadio, in the sense you can discover new music and have curated playlists,varying from Mood to Event, Workouts to Genres.

You have all the usual features, like following friends, and their playlists and what not. Finally, we have an experience that is on par with Android and iOS; but with one HUGE catch! Spotify on WP8 requires a premium account, unlike Android and iOS. Its like they’re taking two steps forward, and one step back. (Yes, we are still up overall, but missing the free mode like Android and iOS is a mistake!)
