| April 18, 2010 | Comments (0)

hey all, a couple of day’s ago the guys over at Nokia Beta Labs released a new update for the Ovi Maps application with some minor updates:

What’s different from the previous release (v3.03)?

We have made a few tweaks to improve the performance of Ovi Maps:

  • Improved positioning speed and accuracy
  • Map zooming with faster speed
  • Improved search for cities with zoom out to city level

To get the latest version, just head over to Nokia Beta Labs.

and as always if you want to pre-load the maps onto your device, just download the Map Loader.

I can only hope it will come with the next firmware update as I would agree that this is quite ridiculous. It’s half a year now and Ovi Maps is still really basic.

Maybe they assume either N900 users don’t ever leave the house
      or
      N900 users don’t get lost.
      :(
