Video: Nokia N8 Preview with Which?
Here’s an interesting video demo from a Non Nokia related person from Which.co.uk – a very popular website particularly in Britain (and a pay as you read one at that).
What intruiged me is that for possibly the first time, someone talked about the N8 without pouncing on the throat of Symbian^3.
The focus is in fact, actually quite positive, almost advert like. (I’d say that’s fair for an unreleased device.)
Should the in depth lab review (with expected real life testing for a period of time) show shortcomings in N8 then that’s understandable.
The video mentions that they expect films to be around 1.4GB (720p with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround)

Something else worth noting is that some p(reviewers) repeat a manufacturer’s claim of a device. e.g. N8’s sensor being able to rival some point and shoots.
This spreading verbatim of pro-soundbites is extremely important and highlights why focus on perception shouldn’t be too lightly ignored. Just think what Apple would say if they had the N8’s camera in the iPhone.
I wish Nokia were bolder and just said that in terms of image quality, it wipes the floor with your sub £120 12mp point and shoots. (maybe not in those exact words). Even certain £250-200 cams (an possibly some more).
