Nokia C7 gets FCC approval

| August 5, 2010 | Comments (0)

Oooh look what the guys from engadgetmobile just found out. What you’re seeing here is the leaked image of the C7 front (top) compared to the label diagram of a model code RM-718 that just got FCC approval, featuring quadband EDGE, HSPA 850 / AWS / 1900 / 2100, Bluetooth, and WiFi — should end up slotting behind the N8 while still carrying over the 640 x 360 display and Symbian^3, so it should be a good lower-cost alternative. That begs the question where is the N8 or has it already been approved secretly………

Nokia World cant come quick enough I’d say……

I don’t think that this is C7. The shape and proportions are different, the power-connector is placed on the top (the leaked pictures of C7 show it on the side) and the code-name of C7 is rumoured to be RM-675. If you turn it, you will see that the shape would fit to C6-01 better which has been showed by fault on an official Nokia-Site (Netherlands) for a very short time (a variation with a different casing and 8MP camera). The connectors are on the bottom not on the top. But good to see that Nokia is loading their weapons and will bring a lot of interesting phones. Hopefully in the very next future. Especially C7 is, so do I think, the real flaggship if the specs are not too reduced in comparison with N8 in terms of price and possible sales. Everlasting 5 weeks left to Nokia World … – I can’t stand it.

Well well well, this is definitely looking something special.
Could we actually see a trifecta of S^3 devices launched at once in the US, EU, APAC regions at Nokia World?
    WOuld be something special eh

There is a twitter Q&A with Nokia’s head of sales and marketing, Niklas Savander, over at Nokia conversations: http://conversations.nokia.com/2010/08/05/no-holds-barred-niklasatnokia-on-twitter/

I must complement the man on his trousers.

offtopic:so we have n8 as an N-series.then we ‘ll meet the same n8 with some differences (qwerty,4.0 inch display etc) named as e7 and then a downgraded n8 as c7?i am only referring to symbian^3 flagships.is that where it all goes?
