Video: MeeGo handset UX on Nokia N900 – More widgets and multitasking

Here’s another look at the latest build of MeeGo handset UX on the Nokia N900. [click for previous vid]

Scrolling looks buttery smooth (and fast, no more endless flicking) in some places though choppy in others.

At 07:39 you’ll see “speech bubble” what looks to be a threaded messaging of sort, and at

10:40 you’ll see the dynamic multitasking. First linear scrolling of live windows like Symbian^3 but with pinch and zoom becomes grid like, ala N900 and Maemo. But since N900 doesn’t have multitouch you’ll only see the linear mode.

Note: Nokia’s UI will be a little different from the stock MeeGo. Eldar has mentioned it looks better.

And also, if anyone is able to confirm: Nokia’s first ‘MeeGo Phone’ might actually be on Harmattan (rebrand of Maemo 6?) rather than MeeGo 1.0? or is N9 already MeeGo 1.0?
