Ex Palm Design VP Peter Skillman joins Nokia
After all the news from Nokia World some rather interesting news has just popped up on my twitter feed and though it might be and important step to change people’s perception and future strategy for Nokia.
Peter Skillman former VP of design for Palm has joined Nokia as the new VP for Meego Ux and Services at Nokia. Sounds great doesn’t it
.
Palm’s WebOS despite its shortcomings in terms of sales has been praised highly for its interface and any input from Peter Skillman for Nokia’s Meego devices would be huge (and Symbian to be honest, but oh well Meego it is).
you can find more about Peter Skillman here
BTW I dont know how old this news is as I haven’t seen anyone else report it so far but important hiring anyway what do you think ?
Another BTW he graduated in the same course I am doing at UNI !!!!!

- Thinking that Nokia is planning to ditch MeeGo? : My Nokia Blog | January 31, 2011

Wow, unexpected but brilliant
Hope he can use the short time left to even further improve the UX of the N9 (guessing that it is good already)…
Great move Nokia!
I think he can meego is still in its early stages they can always release software updates if it is early
yehhhhh !!!
GREAT GREAT GREAT AMAZIN’ GREAT !!
Very, very, very good news!
Good news. Nokia lost Anssi but got Skillman. Anssi is known the best camera phone man. Hope he is not going to rivals.
Yea i will miss Anssi too, hope he does well but not go to a rival too , maybe go to intel or something and work on the other end of meego would be cool.
But its good to know they got Peter Skillman in hopefully he can do some impressive work at nokia.
i can see that nokia is shifting focus on software now, which is good. i just hope that everything else stays the same for Nokia.
