New Nokia N8 PR1.1 Firmware v13.15 now available on Navifirm

This morning you might have seen that there were tweets of a screenshot of the upcoming Nokia N8/S^3 firmware, PR1.1. I didn’t think too much about it since there are folks out there on PR1.1 testing the thing.

Now it seems the PR1.1 firmware that we’ve been waiting for (not the minor Apps Update yesterday) is sort of available via Navifirm.

“NAVIFIRM is used for downloading Nokia firmware images, obtaining lists of product codes, and finding the right product code for your phone. NAVIFIRM downloads all this straight from Nokia’s servers so you don’t have to wait for people to post data packages and lists of product codes.”

Now this isn’t the normal authorised Ovi Suite/OTA update but it does suggest that the real PR1.1 is being prepared for imminent global release.

Unless you know what you’re doing I’d suggest waiting for the official PR1.1 release. Also note, that the BIIIIG update comes with PR2.0 or the one after PR1.1 (the big 50+ new features thing)
