Elop to get ousted at Nokia AGM?

This is pure conjecture based on the recent rumblings of Nokia stepping away from the negotiating table with Microsoft but most people in the know were of the opinion that Elop was brought in to broker the deal with Microsoft on Nokia’s new smartphone strategy. Having backed away from that course of action, with Nokia’s stocks having taken a massive stumble in recent months AND the downgrade of their credit rating just a few days ago it is looking more and more likely that Elop won’t be staying a long time.

Many investors expressed their displeasure at the partnership with Microsoft and are likely to fully express their feelings and desires on the matter at Nokia Annual General Meeting in May. The larger investors of course are likely to have a lot of sway on the direction the company takes and are thought to be the reason Elop was hired in the first place.

Of course, he’s never had much of a  habit of sticking around, so it can be seen as being an inevitability almost.
