Ovi Store update getting pushed out
The Ovi Store (ver. 2.8) update, which is expected to bring improved performance, app updates (finally) and a few other niceties and improvements is supposedly finding it’s way out to users as we speak. With this update coming out now and hints of PR 2.0 being imminent, it’s a good time to be a Symbian fan.
If you’re running a Symbian^3 device be sure to check your app updates program soon. On another note, aren’t you glad Symbian is getting “support” until 2016??

Asked the same… the last time Ovi Store got updated it came via the Store App. But this time people are speaking about the software updater (former comments)… confusing.
I got a update on my X6, don’t know what it did though.

Downloading manually from ovi store from web still downloads ovi 2.6 sigh.

So they say.., but i still cant find anyone who has received it yet..
Today I opened up OVI store on my Nokia N8, and it showed me the update screen. I’ve just downloaded and installed version 2.08.042.
Just updated a couple of applications through the new update screen.
Will provide further updates as I make use of the new store.
