Sample pics from Nokia 700 and Nokia 701?
PocketNow supposedly has some sample images of some up and coming devices. The Above is meant to be from the Nokia 700 and the one below from the Nokia 701. The blurryness of the close up shot below either gives me fears of the come back of EDoF (just DIE already) or possibly inability to [...]
What if Nokia’s time……… is just over ?
Life is an endless mystery we constantly debate why we are here and we are constantly debating our future. One thing in life is for sure; though we all die or go away in some sort of way or we come back in another way. Anyway same happens in business companies come and go. Products [...]
Video: cuteTube YouTube app on Nokia N950 MeeGo-Harmattan
On the weekend we saw what mobile YouTube looked like on the N950. With no Flash, desktop YouTube browsing was no longer an option (like on N900) with the default browser. Here’s a look at a dedicated YouTube App for MeeGo Harmattan called cuteTube. Video by marxianthecoder Cheers ssdh for the tip!
Windows Phone Marketplace ‘expanded’ 35 more countries
Not strictly new news if you follow Windows Phone stories. A google search pointed me to an article back in May 24, but this was posted on the weekend by GSM Arena and WP blog last week. Before July 20th, there were only 16 countries where you could download BUY apps from Windows Phone Market place. [...]

Accessories: e-cloth microfiber Phone Pouch
We received an email a while ago asking if we wanted to try out something called an e-cloth Phone and MP3 pouch. Supposedly, it’s not just a pouch, but being made of e-cloth material, it can clean your screens too. Furthermore, the e-cloth doesn’t seem to be any normal material, “This is a product developed [...]
Video: Incoming call – MeeGo-Harmattan N9 (and speaker demo)
In this video, the Nokia N900 calls the MeeGo-Harmattan powered Nokia N950. Note that to accept a call, you swipe up the screen. Note the lock screen bouncing up and down to tell you this moves. Move it to answer the call. A little icon appears with the name of the person. Missed calls appear [...]

Nelisquare built for Nokia N950 #MeeGo-Harmattan
Qt Guru, Tommi Laukkanen has just built Nelisquare – a foursquare app – for MeeGo-Harmattan N950. https://projects.developer.nokia.com/nelisquare “Built Nelisquare for N950. No portrait and virtual kb isn`t as smart as on Maemo or Symbian.https://projects.developer.nokia.com/nelisquare“ @tlaukkanen All of Tommi’s Qt apps have mentioned MeeGo for future compatibility so this really shouldn’t be all that surprising. Also [...]
Why Symbian Sales crashed? Where to go from here? #Rant
Before we all immediately scream, “Elop the Trojan Horse” and call for his resignation (again), let’s look at what other reasons could be instead of laying all the blame on one guy. 1) Should never have dumped Symbian and gone with MS First, let’s begin with WHY some people are strongly against Elop. [...]
Nokia N950 Video Samples – Low Light
ssdh has found some more video samples from the Nokia N950. Note that these developer samples have no bearing what so ever on what the N9 will produce. In fact, whilst N9 camera gets more tweaking, the N950 apparently not so. The N9 I believe has true widescreen (not cropped 4:3 to 16:9) and [...]

He’s now based at the new Silicon Valley Nokia HQ. Here’s the main Nokia HQ in photos. Is this actual Nokia working locations? What’s with the random tropical garden thing? Brendan [...]
Video: YouTube in Browser on MeeGo-Harmattan Nokia N950
So, one of the things the current browser on the MeeGo-Harmattan will not do is flash. You can get it via FireFox/Fennec I guess. But how would videos work, such as those on YouTube? Well, the video player from the phone could open it up, like on many platforms now. I wonder how it works [...]
“Ovi Daily App” now “My Daily App”
Nokia’s Ovi Daily App blog, showcasing apps from Ovi Store switched to “My Daily App” some days ago. This is all part of the move away from Ovi Branding and strengthening of the Nokia name, with all Ovi named services switching eventually to the “Nokia” name, just like Nokia Maps. http://blogs.nokia.com/dailyapp/global/ Cheers for the [...]

TabCo likes the word “Swipe” on Facebook page (N9 MeeGo Swipe?)
We’ve been following the Tabco Story closely, clutching at straws for the possibility of it being Nokia/MeeGo related. Bharadwaj posted something recently yesterday as well as these two other posts that puts together information that suggests it could be from Nokia here and here. Mark from TheNokiaBlog has noticed that on TabCo’s facebook page they say they LIKE [...]

This game is a decent 28MB in size. http://store.ovi.com/content/149341 Hit the slopes for [...]

So last week we got instructions from Nokia themselves (well for the service folks) how to take apart a Nokia N9. Well since it has passed FCC there is a bounty of information (each could have been worthy of individual post discussion). Imagine only this bit was the N9. (Just sleek black all the [...]
