Leaked?: N8-01? Stunning curved screen Symbian Belle Nokia on a Nokia 700 hands on demo

DGui tipped this video in of a Nokia 700 hands on demo. But there’s something very special inside. Nokia have put a promo video of an unknown, unreleased Nokia Symbian Belle phone. Unless it has slipped my mind, I haven’t seen this before. They can’t just be using a concept design to demo NFC as they’ve got three brand new NFC devices already (As well as the old C7) right? (But would Nokia be so careless as to just put an unannounced phone as a video demo in some new demo devices? SeaRay stuff makes things questionable)

I’m not sure if they mention it in the video (I don’t understand Greek). It’s not mentioned in their blogpost. However he found it, good eye, DGui.

This new Symbian Belle phone has a gorgeous curved screen. The call/end/menu keys look like they’re possibly capacitive as they’re just flush with the screen and the edges. DGui thought it might be that qHD N8-01.

It looks like a luscious, luxury bar of chocolate with the silver foil bit sliding out, no?

  • Nokia AirCloud
  • Nokia MD-20W bluetooth sound system? (Connection via NFC?)

It’s a very interesting, seemingly very polished, upmarket design from Nokia. It looks positively different from your usual rectangle with curved edges, no? Yet it’s still beautiful. Like N9 beautiful. Marko Ahtisaari wasn’t joking when he talked about designs lifting Nokia and that they’d be somewhat N9 inspired. Yummy curved screen for touch swiping. I hated those raised bezels. HATE! Ahem.

Since Nokia are going with the new naming scheme, what do you think this will be called?

Check it out.
