Nokia City Scene Updated (supports landscape & More details)

| January 23, 2012 | 18 Replies

Nokia City Scene is currently a N9 only app that supports a sort of google-street interactive interface, where you can view multiple locations and get info about them including phone numbers, working hours, images, and user reviews. The latest update brings:

  • Landscape mode
  • Favorites you create in City Scene will be visible in maps.nokia.com as well as in your N9 Maps app, and vice versa
  • Some services are described much more in detail: reviews, opening hours, images etc.

Currently supported cities are:

Paris, London, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Louisville, Miami, New York, Newark-Jersey City, Orlando, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco, San Jose and Seattle.

Note: Update requires PR 1.1 (20.2011.40.4) or above.

Why no Sao Paulo? Brazil is one of Nokia’s big markets. Way bigger than the US nowadays. Hopefully not for long. Being big in America means being the top of the world.

WOW! Finally something really cool coming out of this Nokia/Windows partnership.

      What are you talking about…
It has nothing to do with the partnership.

It’s from betalabs & is a Qt app targeted for the N9.
But it will prolly also migrate to S^3…

Something really cool from the partnership (maybe). Will be when the 1st Appollo WP’s arrive.
