Hello all,

Nokia Map Suite 2.0 is out of beta and available in software update!

I am downloading the update to my unlocked NAM Silver N8 right now via Nokia Suite 3.3.89 (just updated Nokia Suite as well). As always, software updates are subject to regional and carrier availability.

Side note: Over at AllAboutWindowsPhone, I asked Pino from Nokia about future development of Nokia Drive for Symbian and this is what was said:

Thank you for your response. Pino, one last question: Will the Symbian Drive ever get the Tap to Full-Screen function that Drive on WP has? Right now, being able to toggle to a full view of the Map on WP Drive is my favorite feature and a lot of Symbian users (myself included) have left comments on Beta Labs about how the map view on Symbian too small because it is taken up by the UI elements.

It is an amazingly simple fix that the WP team has implemented, maybe unknowingly answering our complaints, that by all means should be added to the Symbian Drive. Will this simple yet elegant full screen option be coming to Drive on Symbian?

  • Hi Deaconclgi, in the latest Nokia Maps Suite Beta release we increased the size dedicated to the map http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps…. We will look into other solutions, but please consider that in the future we will concentrate more on Windows Phone development.

Have you received the update yet? Notice any changes or improvements/bug fixes, let us know in the comments section.

Thanks goes to SLAYER for the tip and the picture!
