N9Appdate: Home Screen Settings V1.6

This one is quite out in the Store just yet, but the author has published over at TMO that V1.6 of Home Screen Settings is coming soon (pending Store Q&A & Translations). The update adds a feature I had wanted to implement and never got around to, as I didn’t know how. (Turns out the author told me in the comments from the last update :/ ).
Anyway, here is what he posted;
Home screen settings 1.6.0, currently pending translations (and then Store QA), will include the following features:
- Icon shadows
- Folder opacity
- Custom operator name
Folder transparency can be seen in the screen shot below, and icon shadow is clearest in the one above. Both show the custom operator name.

why not 808pureviewappdate?
Symbian is dead
so is meego :/ Accucent can clearly add this folder UI and use swipe for the menu
Harmattan will be soon, but MeeGo proper is not, at least yet.
It has a new lease on life thanks to MeR/Nemo…
Which is being commercially adapted/exploited by Jolla & others.
In what universe is the folder opacity an useful feature?
That last one pic… good grief.
It is just an image showing that the opacity can be changed. It isn’t an on or off switch, it is a slider. Adjust it to what works for you
In what universe is a optional feature something that you need to complain about?? You don’t have to use it it wont stand in your way, what is the problem??? apparently some people like it…
Bad design choice does not become a good one even if some people do like it.
Not if you need to go out of your way to turn that option on. there are some things in computers were its win win situation people that don’t like the option will never have top deal with it, people that do like it will have it… win win…
PS I’m not even sure its a bad Usability option, it makes the folder items more visible, brings focus to them witch given the scope of the option might be a good idea…
Hands down the most solid app for N9 anywhere!
Which app makes it display the % battery left?
Love these customization apps!

What about the “Live wallpaper”? With the N900 we could use some other anime like “the matrix” which was animed, can we hope one day this animation comes with this app?
Thank you! (and sorry for my bad english)
Nice.
meego was a beautiful dream..
I have already received the update, but the update process was failed. (download failed)
That is as now, in the latest version it is Paid. You need to purchase the app before you csn update.
Which would’ve been totally obvious if he’s made the slightest attempt to read the latest article & comments, instead of necro-ing in an ancient one.
