Microsoft Claims They Have “Some Say” in Nokia Lumia Designs

Previously we’ve heard about Nokia’s influence over Microsoft in terms of software; and how they were able to influence some decisions (such as the camera UI features and others). Well now it’s Microsoft’s turn, claiming that they have “some say” over what goes into the device and its hardware:

“Our relationship is so close we get hardware early and we have some say in how these things are designed,” explains McGee. “I am very happy with the relationship and the ability to influence what they are doing.”

According to the Verge although Microsoft backed the 8X and 8S with the WP8 launch (which was obviously the wrong horse), they are gearing up to push Nokia’s next handset (yes the elusive Lumia 928 heading to Verizon).
