Hello MNB Readers!

I couldn’t pass up sharing these YouTube videos from the Camera Check Channel (CCC). There is a lot of flexibility with the 808 PureView’s large sensor and Carl Zeiss optics. Even after having my 808 for a month, I am still learning how to best utilize all of the camera options and usage scenarios that are now possible. Keep in mind that even though these videos are for the 808 PureView, they provide information that may be helpful even if you don’t have a 808. Hopefully, if Nokia delivers a new device with a camera matching or exceeding the 808, more people will be able to try some of the tips on more widely available devices as well. Enough of my rambling, on to the high-quality footage and tips from CCC.

NOTE: The direct link beneath each video should help play the videos directly in YouTube if you are unable to view the embedded videos on this page using your phone’s web browser.

Have any of you used any of these tips with your 808 PureView or other device such as the Lumia 920, Nokia N8, N86/82 or non-Nokia smart phone? What camera swag/items do you usually carry with you? I always keep a 72′ tripod in my car and a small bag with all the necessities such as a 2 small tripods, tripod mount, wall charger, HDMI, RCA, USB-OTG, USB, SD Adapters, Micro SDs (2, 4, 8, 16, 32 GB), random non activated SIM cards, cleaning cloth and my trusty N8 as backup. I have a lot of tech with me but I need to widen my usage of said tech and videos like the ones on CCC are just what I need to help get the creative ideas flowing.

You can find another video (and hopefully more in the future) and more information over at the Camera Check Channel on YouTube

Thank you all for reading MyNokiaBlog and watching the videos.

Have a great day!

P.S. I am slowly adding photos to my Flickr set as I gain experience with the 808. I can already see an improvement in composition, lighting, focusing, resolved detail and overall photo quality by using Creative Mode versus how I first started out, shooting everything in Automatic. 😉
