People Hub Eating Absurd Amounts of Data in Update 3/GDR3

Microsoft released Update 3 or GDR3 earlier this week, as part of their enthusiasts program to anyone who was interested in getting it. But it seems the update wasn’t free of bugs either, as there seems to be a problem with the people hub eating an absurd amount of data, both on Wifi and cellular data. The bug first came to attention after the Verge editor, Tom Warren tweeted about it, and sure enough it wasn’t a single case situation; as many others also had similar issues (I can’t check mine since my data limit reset today, as did data sense’s tracking).
