Leaked: Nokia Normandy; Asha Device With Lumia Design. The Missing Link.
A while back @evleaks teased that one of Nokia’s devices code-named “Normandy” Â was the “Missing Link”. As we speculated it seems the device is the missing link joining the Asha and Lumia families by unifying the design.
The device has a more than striking resemblance to the Lumia 520 and seems to up the Asha family screen size to new territories. The device does look very “premium” and doesn’t give a feature/budget phone vibe which is great for Nokia. Especially since with Android KitKat Google have dropped the hardware requirements for Android devices to a new low, making the entry level device playing field all the more interesting.
Like the current line of touch Ashas (500-503) this device doesn’t have a hardware camera key, it also has capacitive touch button, rather than a hardware one as seen on the 501 and the mystery Asha we saw earlier today.
What do you guys think of the device? Looks great to me! And hopefully it’ll give Nokia a push in the feature/entry level smartphone market again.
