When the HTC One’s microphones were tested, people were shocked as prior to this, sound recording from HTC devices were recorded by a potato. Surprise, surprise, the reason why they were so good is because they were developed by Nokia and put into HTC devices without Nokia’s consent.

Fast forward to today and in three days time, on December 6th, the HTC One mini (the ‘smaller’ version) will apparently no longer be on sale in the UK.

“Nokia is also claiming financial compensation for the infringement of this patent.”

Update: This case is about Nokia’s modulator patents.

Cheers Prashant for the tip
