Nokia Lumia 1320 Camera Performance Review

9The Lumia 1320 might share the screen size as the Lumia 1520, but when it comes to the camera they couldn’t be more unlike; the Lumia 1520 has a Pureview 20 Mp camera with OIS, Oversampling and some sweet lenses, the Lumia 1320 on the other hand is your standard old 5 Mp shooter without all the bells and whistles.

The front facing camera of the Lumia 1320 can only push out 480p videos, in a weird aspect ratio; although that might sound disappointing at first it’s really not all that bad. In terms of video quality the 480p is pretty decent, in fact it beats some of the 720ps I’ve seen on front facing cameras in terms of clarity and colors. Check out the video sample down below:

The front facing camera also gets the job done when it comes to taking selfies, which although are grainy and not the best in class, once again get the job done.

WP_20140216_002The main camera is more of a letdown however when it comes to taking images, as most pictures seem to lack quality, and come off with a greyish tint and definite graininess; which is a little disappointing (I was hoping for comparable performance to that of the Lumia 720). The videos however are crisp 1080p with good audio capture and admirable performance (albeit shaky due to the lack of OIS):
