Microsoft to Hold March 27th Press Event to Detail Cloud and Mobile Strategies

Microsoft have announced that they will be holding a press event on march 27th, where new CEO Satya Nadella will “pitch the company’s mobile and cloud strategy”. It’ll be interesting to see what’s going to happen, especially with Build 2014 being only a few days after that, as well as the impeding release of WP 8.1. It’s possible we’ll hear more about Microsoft’s attempt to entice OEM’s to dual boot Windows Phone alongside Android on their device, which is something Huawei are already working on. In terms of the cloud services we might hear more about Microsoft’s work with their newly re-branded Onedrive, as well as how they plan to compete with Google Drive which very recently dropped their prices for extra storage.
