Video: Sneak Peek at the first of the Push N8 films, Long Distance SKATE.
Today Nokia’s got the first of their Push N8 films due to go live any moment soon. You get to watch it before anyone else (I didn’t get around to posting about it yesterday, but it’s still unlisted :p).
Nokia Push is about showcasing the creativity of people by giving them the opportunity to demonstrate the power of Nokia devices and the Push N8 project is a great example of that. Nokia Push folks challenged people to show rhem the most creative ways of demonstrating the Push KAPing and Push Skating [http://blogs.nokia.com/pushn8/category/prototypes <http://blogs.nokia.com/pushn8/category/prototypes>  ]  prototypes through film and the eight teams are now ready to unleash their final films.
The first film is Long Distance SKATE. Using the Push Skating prototype, a London based group of skateboarders and filmmakers set out to show what could be possible with the technology. Using the prototype, two skaters battle against each other to outdo each other’s tricks – one in London and the other in Paris.
This is the blurb from the video
The Nokia Push project is a celebration of ingenuity and open technology.
Push Skating takes the world of skate games away from the games console and back to the streets by allowing skaters’ boards to communicate with their N8 to score every single little move they make.
We challenged the Push community to showcase the Push Skating prototype in the most creative film treatments possible.
Now see how the Long Distance SKATE team demonstrated the Push Skating prototype with skaters competing against each other, in two different countries!
