Video: Really great search app -Universal Search- from Nokia Beta Labs.

There seems to be a secret invite only application at Nokia Beta Labs called Nokia Universal Search Beta. (At least, this is the first time I’ve heard of it). I can’t find a page on Nokia Beta Labs but this appeared on irelandstechnologyblog

This app is great, and looks to be extremely useful. I’ve long been waiting for the search widget to actually be of any use to me. This looks up items on the web, or on your phone, looks up locations and can give you map details/addresses/phone numbers and it can even find apps. Finally an app search! The search is instant and as you type – things are searched/suggested below. You can click to further search these items as locations/wikipedia searches

• Find people, places and content, whether on your phone or on the web
• See suggestions as you type, even if you’re not sure of the spelling
• Search the web from the home screen or any browser URL bar
• Go right to your content with Smart Contact and Smart App widgets—shortcuts automatically populated and updated based on your activity
  

The video was uploaded all the way back in April, but it’s unlisted, meaning only those given the link would find it.

Seems it has its own portrait QWERTY.
