Hey all, just a quick message as I’m preparing to leave Manchester.

As you might be aware, the site has been down terribly today.

I was meant to leave two hours ago but I couldn’t go knowing that the site was down (And internet on the train would be horrendous).

I cycled through a few people on the dreamhost chat support and I thought we were toast as some said I just had to read a wiki.

THANK YOU DANIELJ

Fortunately we came across a guy called DanielJ. He was so helpful. He took me step by step, slowly guiding me what to do (I asked another person but they said they couldn’t do that).

If you’re reading this, then please thank DanielJ. It may have been a long running issue with the caching that initially caused the problem. He managed to fix that for us now. Although I have mentioned my frustration with DreamHost before, I really cannot falter some of the staff they have at the chat support. Sometimes you come across someone like Daniel who will slowly, reassuringly guide you through the process.

This might have been the reason we kept going down before and not dreamhost directly. We’ll check again over the next few days to see how it goes.

I will update later. I’m off for the train now.

Thank you everyone for the messages of support on twitter when you were unable to access here.

Ooh what a load of drama pre Nokia World huh? I’ve missed the meal for tonight but hopefully will make the rest of the party at IMAX theatre.
