Video: JLo – Live It Up ft. Pitbull & Nokia Lumia 920

For some reason we get excited when we see a product we love featured in mainstream media. Whether it is in a movie, a TV show, a news report, a music video etc. In Jennifer Lopez’s new song, Live It Up, what do we see? A shiny glossy white Nokia Lumia 920.

Now, we have seen Lumia’s appearing all over the place lately, which is a good thing. However, they typically have no branding (or blurred out), and a modded UI superimposed (see the above images). Thankfully, this time we see a big bright NOKIA logo in the top right corner, and the Metro UI (or whatever they’re calling it these days) Messaging app.

Of course it doesn’t really reflect anything, but as a “fanboy”, it is nice to see.

Question: Doesn’t the US have some pretty strict laws on product placement, thus wouldn’t Nokia have had to lay down a hefty sum to have it featured? Wonder if it will pay off.
