For those serious about mobile photography, or photography in general, you’ll want to be taking advantage of any RAW shooting capabilities (Nokia Lumia, Nokia Camera Settings: 1 Capture Mode, 2 JPEG 5MP + DNG 16MP). This is especially useful for those who like to do some editing of their photos as the RAW files contain so much more information (all the details your camera sensor can capture) than the JPEG, you can turn a great capture into a spectacular one.

As demoed in the video, post editing a JPEG file won’t recover as much as RAW.

The only potential downsides would perhaps be the file size. On my Nokia Lumia 1520 with expandable memory, that’s not really an issue. There’s no need to worry though about having to send either a RAW DNG file or JPEG as Nokia Camera has that covered.
