Soon after Microsoft completed their acquisition of Nokia’s devices and services division, they announced that they would cut around 18,000 jobs over the next year. Round one of these job cuts back in July saw nearly 13,000 previous Nokia employees lose their jobs, now according to ZDNet round two is right around the corner.

According to Mary Jo Foley, Microsoft will inform the intended employees that they’re being let go on September 18th, and that these job cuts will include all parts/groups of the company.

More sad news, but hopefully they’ll get a nice severance package and land on their feet.
