Codename: Project Spartan – Goodbye I.E. New browser actually makes you want to use the MS browser
Built for the web today, we have “project spartan”.
It’ll come a little later on PC and then the phone so it won’t be on the first insider builds. But it will come.
Three significant new features?
1) How you interact with the web and communicate with other people about the web
Funnily enough it was this article that made them use this feature:
They communicated by marking up the web.
And it’s not just for touch/pen too. Click and add comments anywhere.
Can share the whole page or just clipped parts..
I love this. Now I don’t have to screenshot and then edit it. I can do it within the browser.
2) Focus on the action of reading! How to make it better and improve productivity?
First – how to standardise reading sites on the web.
Reading mode:Â
Reading list. Can have it offline too.
Built in PDF support too.
3) Give you a personal assistant 😀 Cortana is built in right into spartan. She comes in at certain times to be helpful.
Cortana learns about people and places – she will have directions, flight info, details about restaurants, book reservations, read reviews, knows where the menu is, get ingredients info.
