Nokia N9 Swipe UIAndroid Launcher Please, not Nokia Z

We’re almost in 2017 so just in case there’s any hope or scope to get this shoved in, please can we have the N9 Swipe UI on the new Nokia phones?

It is completely workable on Android. I have an app whereby the on screen buttons are no longer there, instead I swipe in different directions to either multitask, go back or go to home.

The Swipe UI was the neatest iteration of that.

I’d love to still have the regular Android launcher though – or even better, let us use a launcher like Nova Launcher but embed part of the swipe UI navigation as default.

• Easy to access home with a quick short flick up from the bottom of the phone.
• Then for multitasking we could swipe from left and right edge.
• Keep Swipe from the top as the Android notification. Don’t mess with that too much. People are used to it. The only thing to work out is how to dismiss notifications which might result in accidentally going into multitask view. Unless you just restrict it to starting the motion from within the box rather than the edge.

Nokia Z Launcher was a bit too basic. And that drawing a letter to get an app? Hmm, it didn’t always work and there are quicker ways to find an app.

We’d like always on clock (now ubiquitous) and double tap to wake too please.
