Teo of Symbian Freak has found Digia@Web – A new web browser for S60 5th edition. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGnZ4xJFz_I] We’ve got the native S60 browser, Opera Mini, and possibly Sky Fire (though that doesn’t function optimally yet), what would we need in another browser? Well, having just installed it and played with it for a couple of […]

Last week when I was checking out the Ovi Store, 9 of these apps were on my recommended page, with the 10th one app’s related download section. You may have seen them elsewhere before, on different download locations, but now they’re all available through Ovi (well at least versions of them anyway) – great for […]

Camera Tests: Nokia N82 vs Samsung Innov8 vs Nokia N97 vs Nokia N86

Nokia and Carl Zeiss have bestowed upon the N86 imaging enhancements beyond just upping the resolution from 5MP to 8MP; wide angle, improved latency, large aperture, better sensor in general all resulting (at least on paper) in improved image quality. As you can see from Rafe’s test, the N86 is superior in all conditions, except […]

If we were to somehow rewind one year, and I was asked to think about “what features I would have liked to have seen in a phone that would be sufficient enough to replace the imaging capabilities of the N82 entirely?” Symbian S60 Touch large high resolution screen great camera xenon (true) flash dedicated camera/video […]

My-Symbian has posted some excellent comparison shots of the N97 with the E90, E75, 5800 and Samsung i8910 (Omnia HD). A few interesting selections below: 1 – E90 and N97 E90 is huge, but that’s because of that big screen and that spectacular keyboard. Not the best looking phone though. You’d think the reason Nokia […]

720p on the Samsung i8910 looks stunning, more detail, crisper, at times more natural looking colours. However, the sound is absolutely dreadful, resembling the tinny audio quality of 2004 handsets – this may still be fixed though. The N97’s video also performs very well, some slight over saturation in parts – it also just doesn’t look […]

I love the direction Samsung is going with their products. In terms of hardware -  it’s good, you keep it, it it’s bad leave it out. Simple. As a Nokia fan, you get to watch Nokia making a good product – then producing a “successor” which leaves something you thought would and should have become […]
