Nokia Designer, Mark Delaney discusses the design choices at Nokia for these three low end handsets, the 6700, 6303 and 6710 fold

In the video he says if he had to compare the 6700 with anything, it would have to be the 3310, “an iconic phone of its time”. I don’t think people will remember the 6700 as that at all. It’s a decent phone though, great use of materials, pretty sleek although the face looks a tad boring.

Mark mentions that when people looked at the 6300 Classic, they said “Yup, that is what a Nokia phone is”. I don’t know if that’s a positive thing though.

Although the sales were strong, (47 Million), design wise, the 6300 just sings, “I’m boring”, and probably sold more due to its low price than anything (e.g. whereas something like the 3310 sold because it was also extremely desirable and reliable).

The 6303 shares similar use of materials, surprisingly again with the metal. It looks like a fake slide phone, especially the black version.
