News: New Nokia today?…is it true?…(It's the X6-16GB)
The guy’s over at Pocket lint heard from Nokia’s UK boss Mark Loughran that on the 26th there will be a new Nokia being released…there is a lot of speculation as to what this phone is, the guy’s over at NokNok think it might be the new Maemo but in my opinion, I would doubt that very much because people are still getting used to the N900 and launching another one now would just hinder Nokia because people would stop buying the N900!
No idea what it is but it looks like Nokia are trying to beat Apple to the punch my making another announcement (on top of the free maps one) a day before Apple are doing theirs!!
We will just have to wait and see but in my personal opinion, I think a lot of people have forgot about Nokia’s development of their “tough” phone…so could it be that?
Update: Looks like it was just the Nokia X6-16GB which I heard about a long time ago…shame it wasn’t bigger news!
The 16GB version does not have the “comes with music” service as expected although almost everything else is the same but there is a larger range of colours: all black, all white, white with pink highlights and white with yellow highlights.

there is deadly silence on nokia’s part… symbian seems to be a burden rather than profit making platform….
nokia needs game changer and it starts with physical looks… vividness, colors, not only on physical apperance but also at UI levels.. take example of n900, utterly block, thick, plasticky, UI lacks vividness, splash of colors, beauty (though powerful OS)… i always say nokia when makes one thing right but at the same time makes other bad…
lets think n900 with these features:
- plastciky screen replaced with olephobic scratch-less glass
- a bit thin a few millimeters
- white metal around rather than black
- a bit of new innovation
but… who listens
it does look like it is just the X6 16GB, but to be honest I knew this was coming out for a long time! shame it wasn’t bigger news!
