Nokia Orion – Touch Screen Gaming Nokia Concept

It resembles a super slim Game Boy Advance, with a touch of E97 ‘clone‘; this concept called Orion by the Recombu guys is a dedicated Nokia gaming touch screen phone which relies on dedicated gaming keys as opposed to purely touch screen.

The E97 part is the qwerty keyboard which appears behind the touch screen, but it has its own screen for texting too.

I’m all for super slim touch screens! More concept Nokia phones to drool over please! (If only I had the skillz – I’m only a MS paint guy >_<) Also, what I really like is that it’s a name. Not a designation/barcode/mysterious digits.

The info blurb:

“The Ovi Orion boasts a 4.3-inch touchscreen, proper gaming controls, a killer CPU and GPU, HSDPA (3.5G), Wi-Fi and just in case you need to type out a long message there’s nifty keypad on the back with a small screen – you can flip the Orion over and use the larger screen to write and edit text too. It’s just a concept of course, but you get the idea, this phone would kick arse and most importantly provide a superb gaming experience.”

What do you think? Any features missing? (Say cheese!) Is candy bar the way to go or is there still room for the slide/tilt? Are hardware buttons needed anymore? (Even camera buttons could potentially be replaced by a side strip of touch sensitive flush/invisible buttons – with varying vibrating feedback when you’re pressing and how hard)
