#Symbiangives:Over $5500 grand prize total to win and a bunch of other prizes with @Symbian on Twitter!

If you head over to www.symbian.org/symbiangives you’ll see that Symbian are giving away some prizes from today up to next Friday (Feb 19th). There’s gonna be a few prizes to win, as well as a grand prize total of over $5500.

What do you need to do? Well follow @Symbian on twitter, and up until the 19th Feb, you’ll notice tweets from them with instructions (Maybe some as imple as Retweeting [RT] their tweets, including the hash tag #symbiangives.

Q: What is the #symbiangives campaign?

A: We have recently made our source code free to everyone and we’re still feeling in a generous mood.  So to share our joy, we decided to reward the community for celebrating with us through their Twitter Tweets.  For ten days (Monday – Friday from Feb. 8-19,2010), we’ll be giving away various prizes to randomly selected people who either  Retweet us with the hashtag #symbiangives, or who send us a clever line following the creative template from our campaign.

Q: I forgot to include the “#symbiangives” in my Tweet, but I did everything else right.  Am I still eligible?

A: Sorry, no.  We ask you follow the directions to win the gift card each day exactly as specified.

Q: Am I limited to the amount of times I can participate in this promotion?

A: No. You may participate as often as you’d like.  Just follow the instructions provided on the day of the giveaway, as the giveaways change throughout the campaign.  You may Tweet and Retweet as many times as you’d like to increase your chances of being selected.

Q: What will be given away and what do I need to do to win?

A: We want to be completely open (since we’re open source too!), so here is the schedule of what we’ll be asking you to do each day.

• Monday, Feb. 8th: We’ll be giving away a 2GB USB Flash drives with Symbian code to 5 people randomly chosen throughout the day who RT us with the hashtag #symbiangives
• Tuesday, Feb. 9th Friday, Feb 19: Prizes TBD

Q: Is the contest occurring on the weekends?

A: No.  The contest begins 12:01AM PST / 3:01AM EST / 8:01AM GMT / 9:01AM CET on Monday, February 8th, 2010 and continues through 3:00PM PST / 6:00PM EST / 11:00PM GMT / 12:00MIDNIGHT CET on Friday, February 19th, 2010, excluding weekends.  Therefore, we will not be holding the giveaway on Saturday, Feb. 13th or Sunday, Feb. 14th.

Q: Is this contest open to anyone throughout the world?

A:  Yes.  Anyone may participate. If you live outside of the US and win the prize, however, please be aware of any and all extra shipping and customs charges you may incur, which we are not responsible for.

Q: If I win, who will tell me and how will I receive prizes?

A:  If you are chosen to be a winner, we will DM or @ reply to you from our @symbian handle on Twitter to let you know.  We will send a details to claim your prize.
