Video: Nokia N8 Part 2 of 3 Walkthrough!

| June 8, 2010 | Comments (0)

Chris Bennets is back again with part 2 of 3 in the Nokia N8 Walkthrough!

Presentation skills aside we can see:

  • Smooth pinch and zooming of 12 megapixel images.
  • Photo Editor demo (ooh prepare for cheese)
  • Video Editor demo – it looks pretty capable, especially considering we’re editing 720p videos. It looks quite versatile too, able to add text, trim videos as well as add transition effects. Not bad Nokia, Not bad.
  • USB To Go demo.

The features are not bad. it seems that they have improved the lag in certain areas( photo viewer), but still need to be fixed in other areas ( photo editor) .
And the UI needs re-changed. need more animated.

    • Jay Montano says:

Yup. More animations/transition effects are needed. Proper rotation and not the cheat that is fade in/fade out (I hate these kinds of transitions. Blacking out seems like it’s crashed).

Hopefully S^3 can deliver completely lag free experience when N8 is officially on sale. Waiting in 2010 is a fail.

Video editing in 720p on a phone oh and usb on the go . Jesus nokia way to d**k slap all the other smartphone in the face. i be wanting this phone pretty bad

    • Jay Montano says:

      I want N8 real bad too :) .

In line editing saves me from having to transfer and get my lappy to process videos. Perfect if you’re up an about and haven’t got a laptop at hand. I used to edit videos on older Nokias – they oddly processed videos faster than my lappy. Hope same thing applies here (Vegas takes about hour rendering a 5 min 720p on my XPS -_-)

      • Andre says:

Truly terrible, what xps do you have?
The video editing and photo editing software is quite something though.

  4. Raj says:

Dont N8 because next there will be replacement of N97, and trust you all want that phone more than this. Cause N8 is not main flagship, and it’s already stacked with hardware features. Guess what will happen once nokia release the replacement of N97? I will be waiting for that one.
this phone is more for photographer or who is more into photographs.
I am multimedia guy. Play music, watch videos, play games. So i demand little bigger screena and screen resolution. I guess i’ll get that in meego phones.
    Just Wait and Watch
