Nokia N8 Pre-Order notifications from Nokia.com
Mark from thenokiablog has noticed that pre-order notifications are now available at Nokia.com
Note, this is just to TELL YOU WHEN you can pre-order the Nokia N8, NOT actually pre-ordering the N8.
Currently, the notifications are available in 14 countries, Australia, Brazil, China, Finland, France Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and United States.
I don’t know if there are more to come and if this in any way reflects the market availability at release.
Worth noting that there’s no India, Canada, or Philippines (and of course loads of other countries). Also worth noting that last year, countries were slowly added to the list.
I’m not in India, but I hope the Indian market gets the N8 around the same time as every one else and not have to wait half a year like they did with the N900.
That said, the reason N900 was so late:
- Super geek phone – tiny niche, Nokia didn’t even bother marketing it let alone selling it.
- N97 wasn’t that late in India last year was it? It had simultaneous launch across 75 countries right? N8 being Symbian “flagship” and pushing to mass market, it seems likely the N8 will be prompt.
