Message to our readers about leaked Meego handset
Yesterday I put out a post on the supposed leak on Nokia’s first Meego device by mobile-review.net well as you know it never happened. Well Nirave has posted an apology for people that had their time wasted.
Well I also want to say sorry to people that waited for the news, I was excited myself and as soon as I saw the tweets I thought man I have to tell people about this.
I hope you are not mad we are bound to see a leak in the next 3 weeks or so (don’t hold my words !!!) especially with Nokia World coming up, once again I am sorry too 
BTW I did read somewhere that the code name NXO is a name used for Nokia tablets while they are in development hmm……….
you must check and verify before posting fake news!!!!!
So,no more rumors then, ever? Since they cant be verified? It sucks but John didnt do anything wrong.

I personally wouldn’t say it was ur fault, I would have prolly done the same thing. However, I’m still angry at Nirave and just wanting to beat him up for wasting 4 hours of our lives!
No worries, these things happen – part and parcel of reporting a rumour, rather than reporting a fact.
If this was Apple they would be saying “hey, we did nothing wrong – all the other blogs report failed rumours too.” or “our rate for failed rumours is just 0.0001% so you should actually be pleased about it”.
Mynokiablog did nothing wrong here. It was a publicity stunt by another publisher to get hits to his website. Keep up the good work guys
Not a very good stunt, if that was what he intended.
I think he just presented it the wrong way and for one reason or another there was a four hour delay between original tweet and actual post and people hyped the crap out of it.
John did no wrong on reporting, and the only mistake I think nirave did was present it quite the way he did, aside from that? It was just a rumor post like others. In that regard, we only have ourselves to blame for letting a maybe rumor get us hyped.
