The Nokia 5230 budget touch comes with the same ARM 11 434MHz processor as the N97. In this video below, you’ll see the 5230 overclocked to 800MHz and looking pretty nippy.

I have to say the actual speed of the UI looks exactly the same at 250MHz as it does at 800MHz. I wonder in what situations one would really see the difference? Also why does Nokia not offer this as standard – presumably it reduces battery life considerably – does it also risk overheating the CPU?
Well that would certainly give a new lease of life for the 5800 as well..
so all nokia touch screen phone are next??
Tell me how to do it on n97 mini

Well the ARM11 in the N8 for example can clock as high as 800 Mhz without any Overclocking from what I hear.
The N8 runs at 680MHz, how can running it at 800MHz not be overclocking it? Answers on a postcard to the usual address please.
Well it’s underclocked to 680Mhz if it is indeed the ARM1176 which has a ddefault clock speed in the 800Mhz- 1Ghz range
.
What’s your address?
