If you head on over to http://v.blog.sohu.com/u/vw/4905211 you’ll notice a video that shows a Nokia N8 lifting a 60KG weight. I have NO understanding of written or spoken Chinese (bar a few Mandarin phrases).

Alex68 says: “Two Chinese students from Tsinghua University used an N8 to lift 60KG fridge. The power of N8 motor was amplified 100K and it took 1 and half hours to lift the fridge”

Google Translate kinda says the same thing. I don’t get the whole motor thing – I was unaware  the N8 had a motor, let  alone amplifying its power to lift a fridge! (D-oh, it’s from the N8 vibrator motor – that little thing spins with an uneven weight to cause vibration. Cheers llaadd)

You’ll see the N8 torn down at some parts. Here’s a drawing of their plan of attack with the N8.

AND then that’s supposedly going to pull a 60KG weight. That’s like lifting Sandra Bullock or Charlize Theron with a Nokia N8.

Possibly not as glamorous as either Bullock or Theron. A white plastic box of a Fridge.

Cheers Alex68 for the tip to mynokiablog.com/tips!

update: Someone has swiped the video and put it up on youtube (with uncannily similar title)
